Consulting
Marketing consulting services with a clear plan behind them
Fewer guesses. Better decisions. A partner who knows how it all connects.
Akoya Creative is a women-owned digital marketing agency in Rockland, Maine. Our marketing consulting helps mid-size businesses, nonprofits and e-commerce brands decide where to focus, what to fix first and what to stop doing. We work with teams across Maine, New England and the U.S., and we look at your marketing as one connected system: your website, data, email, search and ads.
Who it's for
Is marketing consulting right for you?
Most teams we work with already have marketing in motion. What they're missing is someone to step back, connect the pieces and say what matters most.
01
You have marketing, but no plan tying it together
Email goes out, ads are running and the website is live. But no one can say how it all adds up, or what you'd cut if the budget shrank tomorrow.
02
Your team does the work, but no one sets direction
You have good people or good freelancers. You don't have a senior marketer deciding priorities, setting goals and holding the plan together.
03
Your reports are full of numbers, not answers
You have dashboards. What you need is someone to tell you what the numbers mean and what to do next.
Ways to work with us
How we work with consulting clients
Every engagement starts with your business goals, not a channel. Pick the format that fits where you are.
Start here
Marketing audit
The best place to start. We review your website, tracking, SEO, email and paid media, then hand you a ranked plan and walk through it with your team, usually within 3 to 6 weeks.
See what's included in our marketing auditProject
Strategy sessions and marketing plans
Focused help on a launch, a channel decision or your customer journey, or a full plan for the year ahead: goals, audience, channel mix, budget, and how we'll measure success. Built from your data, so your team can run with it.
Monthly
Fractional marketing leadership
Senior marketing direction without a full-time hire. We set priorities, guide your team and outside vendors, and report progress to leadership each month.
Specialty
Email and Klaviyo consulting
For brands that know email should be doing more. We review your flows, segments and list health, then build a plan to grow revenue and retention.

How we think about your marketing
- Goals firstWe start with what the business needs, whether that's more qualified leads, more repeat buyers or more donors. Then we choose the tactics.
- One system, not five channelsYour website, email, ads and search affect each other. We look at them together so fixes in one place don't create problems in another.
- Data informs, people decideWe use your analytics to find what's working and what isn't. Then we explain what it means in plain language.
- Fewer, better prioritiesWe rank every recommendation by impact, confidence and effort. You get three meaningful actions, not a list of 50.
- Honest answersSometimes the right move isn't more marketing. It's fixing the website, cleaning up tracking or pausing a channel that isn't paying off. We'll tell you.

FAQs
Questions we hear a lot
What's the difference between consulting and a marketing audit?
An audit is a fixed-scope review with a ranked plan at the end. Consulting is the broader relationship: planning, advising and guiding the work over time. Many clients start with an audit and continue from there.
Do you only work with Maine businesses?
No. We're based in Rockland, Maine, and we work with businesses and nonprofits across New England and the U.S. Most of our work happens over video calls and shared dashboards.
Can you also do the work?
Yes. We offer hands-on email and SMS, SEO, digital advertising, analytics, brand strategy and web design. Consulting clients can bring us in for execution, or keep it with their own team.
